Exactly!

Cable TV is the next thing to implode. The future is Internet capable TV's like the new Samsung LED TV line but with more options.

Thanks for your comment Leyla.

This is awesome! Thank you for sharing these invaluable tips with all of us... I mean, this info is priceless for marketers, because you can see exactly what PEOPLE , i.e. consumers are searching for, talking about, what they like/dislike etc...

In this day and age, the world is so fast paced that by the time I watch/listen to the news, I already know about, through Twitter... It's truly amazing =)

Traditional media streams are great BUT you don't know what is working until "WE" the people actually consume it and talk about. This is why it is important to use the above services to see what people ACTUALLY like and what is effective.

The above tools are there for industry professionals to figure out the current and emerging trends and make their future campaigns work.

What do you think?

What about all the more traditional media streams like TV commercials and movie commercials and radio...don't they also give a glimpse into pop culture today?
All the streams you mentioned above are really cool because they look into the comments people/search for directly, instead of the traditional media streams I mentioned which give you an idea of what industry professionals think about social culture... kind of like cutting out the middle man, but I still think the middle man can be important. Those firms that hire the industry professionals know a thing or two still.
